Artist Bio - About Gabrielle

Hello. My name is Gabrielle. My family and I live in southern New Hampshire with my husband and two children. Painting, drawing and anything creative have been my passions ever since I can remember. Although mostly a self-taught artist, I have studied at various art schools and workshops, including the Museum School in Boston.

I have 20 years experience in various artistic media. A partial list of my diversities include painting murals for private residences and businesses, designing album covers for musicians, designing Torah covers for a synagogue in Florida, hand painting furniture, illustrating storybooks and designing costumes and programs for children’s theatre and ballet. In addition, I continue to create my own personal and original artwork.

Painting portraits is especially enjoyable since I work very hard to capture the essence and energy of a child, a family, an animal, or a favorite subject. I understand having a portrait is a very personal experience so I like to be in close communication with my clients in order to attempt to understand every nuance and detail that makes the subject unique, while gaining a better idea of what the client desires. The intensity that I bring to my art is gratifying both to myself and to my clients, from whom I receive much positive feedback.
